On June 14, 2015 at the 11 AM Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Lafayette, five Lafayette seminarians were admitted into Candidacy for Holy Orders by Bishop Michael Jarrell. In the Admission to Candidacy rite, the candidate for ordination publicly expresses his intention to receive ordination as a Deacon and subsequently as a Priest.
Joseph Boustany, sponsored by Our Lady of Fatima in Lafayette, will be in 1st Theology at the North American College in Rome. Joseph is the son of Deacon Edward and Tessa Sagrera Boustany.

Advent Study 2015 – October 7th- December 14th, Day Group – 1230-230pm Wednesdays and Evening Group – 6-8pm Thursdays
2016 “Year of the Eucharist” at the parish – A year long 40 week study whereby WOG alumni and new parishioner ladies would take the WOG study one lesson per class over 40 weeks across the year. Breaks for holidays, summer, and special occasions would be taken. The study will take place on Tuesdays from 1030am-1230pm and Mondays 6-8pm beginning on Jan 5, 2016 and end on December 13, 2016.
Saturday , March 5th, 2016 2:30-3:30pm –“Year of The Eucharist” class “Reflection & Consideration Hour” with Johnnette Benkovic
“Year of Eucharist Speakers Series” – During this year invited speakers will present at one lesson class during Chapters 2-8. Father Russo will present Chapters 3, 4, and 6 (Confession, Obedience, & The Eucharist). Karol Meynard will present Chapter 2 (Prayer Power, St. Theresa of Avila). Brenda Dooley will present Chapter 5 (The Holy Spirit). Sheila Zepernick will present Chapter 7 (Healing). Deacon Ed Boustany will present Chapter 8 (Evangelization & Apostleship).
November 1 thru graduation – A “Christ-Kind” (Kris-Kingle) fellowship where women attending the 40 week journey will secretly adopt a fellow WOG in their journey and give them spiritual gifts anonymously (prayer bouquets, Mass offerings, etc). At the final reception they will gift each other and reveal themselves to their “Christ-Kind” sister in grace.

The stained glass windows were designed by the Tolleri Studios of Florence, Italy. There are 12 side windows which honor Mary, the mother of Jesus, and a 650 square foot window at the front which celebrates the 1917 “Miracle of the Sun” apparition in Fatima, Portugal.
